How to Record BongaCams with CaptureGem

Record BongaCams in 5 steps

Free to start, and the same steps on Windows, macOS and Linux.

   Step 1: Install CaptureGem

   CaptureGem is free to download and use, with no account needed. Download CaptureGem for Windows, macOS or Linux and open the desktop app.

   Use the latest release for the most recent fixes.

   Step 2: Copy the room link

   Example link

   https://bongacams.com/model_username

   Open the model's room on bongacams.com and copy the address. The username is whatever follows bongacams.com/.

   BongaCams also runs on other domain names, but CaptureGem only recognizes bongacams.com links. For any other address, pick BongaCams yourself and type the username.

   The names and numbers in these examples are placeholders; use the ones from the real page.

   Step 3: Add the stream

   Go to the Record tab and paste the link into Enter URL or Username in the Add Stream panel; CaptureGem switches Select Website to BongaCams on its own. Prefer typing? Pick BongaCams under Select Website and enter just the username.

   Keep Monitor Only switched off so the stream is saved, then click Add Stream.

   Step 4: Check the recording status

   While the model is in a public show, the row switches to Recording within a few seconds. Otherwise the Status column explains why nothing is being saved:

   Private

   The model is in a private, group, ticket or other non-public show.

   Offline

   The model is offline or away.

   Errored

   CaptureGem couldn't check or record the room.

   Hover over a status for more detail, such as the reason behind an Errored status.

   Step 5: Find your recording

   When a recording finishes, CaptureGem converts it into a video file; long recordings can take a little while. Open the Review tab to play, trim, tag or delete it, or click Open Video Folder on the Record tab.

   Recordings are MP4 files by default. With Premium, each file runs up to 60 minutes by default and auto-record starts the next one straight away. You can change the save location, the file length (Cap Video Segments at Duration (Minutes)) and the container in Settings.
